Invisalign clear aligners move your teeth with a series of carefully controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign controls both the amount of movement that each aligner effects and the actual timing of these movements. With each new set of Invisalign aligners, only specific teeth are encouraged to move according to what stage of the overall Invisalign plan you are at.
Invisalign treatment is a revolutionary new way to straighten your teeth. Using advanced 3D computer-imaging technology, we can show you how we will move your teeth from the initial position towards the final desired position. Once you have had your iTero 3D oral scan we then get custom-made for you a series of clear aligners to move your teeth little by little. Each Invisalign clear aligner is worn for about two weeks before you move onto the next in the series, gradually moving towards the projected final position.
Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible which makes the a great choice for teens as well as adults so you don't need to be self-conscious about your teeth. Invisalign aligners are also fully removable, so you can eat and drink what you want during treatment by simply taking them out. You can also remove the aligners to for your usual brushing and flossing. Invisalign aligners are generally more comfortable to wear than traditional fixed braces as there are no metal brackets or wires. Finally, Invisalign allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you begin treatment, so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete which is always inspiring for our patients.
